These operations are supported by Lafarge's Research Center in L'Isle d'Abeau, France.

Lafarge maintains nine concrete labs in North America. These are located in Alpena, Michigan; Atlanta, Georgia; Belleville, Ontario; Davenport, Iowa; Exshaw, Alberta; Kansas City, Missouri; Seattle, Washington; St. Constant, Quebec; and Whitehall, Pennsylvania. The primary objectives of these labs are to provide testing and assess product performance, support product development, and serve as a technical resource for customers. |

Joppa Oil Well Cement Testing Lab |

The Lafarge oil well testing laboratory in Joppa, Ill., is an ISO9001-2000-registered and API Q1-certified independent service facility devoted to the testing of cement for the oilfield industry. It is unique in the cement industry and routinely performs many specialty tests such as HTHP consistometer testing, fluid foss testing, and ultrasonic strength testing.
